Basic Splinting
Auckland
Workshop Description
This course is designed for those with little or no experience in handling thermoplastic splinting materials, or those wishing to enhance their skills and efficiency at static splint design and fabrication.
It is a practical, interactive one-day workshop, designed to give all participants a good understanding of the theoretical principles of splinting and know how to apply these to their area of Hand Therapy practice.
Each splint taught in this workshop has been carefully selected to arm you with skills to use in your day-to-day practice. You will learn about clinical applications for these various splints, clinical reasoning around splint selection and design options, tips and tricks, while having a fun, interactive day with colleagues from across the country.
Splinting truly is our point of difference as Hand Therapists. Enhancing your skill and confidence with splinting will certainly enhance your hand therapy practice.
