Neuro Paediatric Splinting
This 1-day practical, interactive workshop will introduce you to the challenges of splinting abnormal tone associated with complex pathologies such as acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy & spinal cord injury.
This course is designed for occupational therapists and physiotherapists working in a paediatric neuro setting or hand therapy setting, who wish to gain further handling skills and understanding of splinting a child with a neurologically impaired upper limb.
Attendees will be introduced to the theory and clinical reasoning behind splinting in neurology, as well as practical application of customised wrist / thumb / finger splints for children with neurological impairment. All materials will be provided throughout the course.
